Salmon (Humpies)
Fishing
The Kenai River and the Kasilof River have runs of
Pink Salmon on even numbered years. These fish, also known as "humpies" because of
the large hump males develop along their backs, number in the millions on the
Kenai River. There are days when the River "boils" with
Salmon. Even the beginner angler will have
no problem catching Pinks.
